About Two Thoughts and A Fixation:
Two Thoughts and a Fixation was written for Derek Bermel as part of the American Composers Orchestra’s Connecting ACO Community initiative. and premiered on May 10, 2020. That spring, ACO launched Connecting ACO Community in support of artists in the midst the coronavirus pandemic. This program united ACO-affiliated performers and composers in order to collaborate on original works that were later premiered on the Zoom videoconferencing platform as well as YouTube.
